Alekarenge (Ali Curung)

Alekarenge or Ali Curung is a remote Indigenous community located 380km north of Alice Springs and 170km south of Tennant Creek in the Barkly Region. Situated on the Warrabri Aboriginal Land Trust, the main languages of the community are Kaytetye, Warlpiri, Alyawarr and Warumungu. Alekarenge has a population of 450 people with a Store, Police Station, School, Health Centre and the Arlpwe Art and Cultural Centre.
