Ampilatwatja is an Alyawarre community on Aherrenge country. Located just off the Sandover Highway, it is 325km north east of Alice Springs and 315km south east of Tennant Creek. The community has a population of about 500 people with a School, Church, Store, Art Centre and Primary Health Clinic.
Dialysis has been available in Ampilatwatja since 2019, provided by Purple House in partnership with the Ampilatwatja Health Centre Aboriginal Corporation.
