In September 2025, the Bush Balm team went on a camping trip with Mt Liebig Aged Care to share bush tucker, cook bush medicine over the fire, walk through beautiful Country and sleep under the stars.

Describe the trip to Mt Liebig
It was a beautiful drive and with a lovely view. It was nice to have the whole team there. We spent quality time all together.
What was a highlight?
Sitting down with our patients in the sunset around the fire and making bush medicine with them.
How did being out bush make you feel?
Being out bush makes me feel relaxed, chill and calm.
How does making bush medicine for patients make you feel?
It makes me feel happy and relaxed; I love making bush medicine it helps to clear my mind.
What do you like about sitting down with patients?
I love sitting down with our patients because they make me feel comfortable by telling stories and just being around patients they remind me of my grandmother who I lost at the start of 2024.
What excites you about another trip like this?
What excites me is just getting out of town, and I love going out bush and cooking especially with patients.
What does working for Purple House mean to you?
Purple house means a lot to me. I love going on trips. Purple house is the best place to work.
