Where we work
Purple House provides culturally safe dialysis and support across remote Australia. We currently provide dialysis in 14 remote communities and run a mobile dialysis unit called the Purple Truck! We also provide support services for people who have to live in town from the Purple House in Alice Springs and Panuku in Darwin.
The Purple House is our headquarters and a home away from home for dialysis patients recieveing dialysis in Alice Springs.
Based at the Rapid Creek Business Village, Panuku is place where patients from Lajamanu and Yirrkala living in Darwin for dialysis can feel comfortable and at home.
Established in 2004, Kintore is the first remote clinic opened by Purple House and has enabled hundreds of Pintupi people to return home.
Purple House have provided dialysis in the Western Arrente community of Ntaria (Hermannsburg) since 2010.
The Warburton Dialysis Room enables patients who have had to dislocate to Alice Springs, Perth and Kalgoorlie to return to community while continuing dialysis treatment.
The Lajamanu Dialysis Unit opened in 2013 and is supported by our team at Panuku in Darwin.
Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa)
The Santa Teresa Dialysis room is part of the Santa Teresa Health Centre. It was set up for patients who had worked hard to become self carers and learnt how to do their own dialysis.
Located in East Arnhem Land, Yirrkala is our northern most, and only coastal, dialysis unit.
