Wiluna
Wiluna is a Martu Aboriginal Community located 950km north-east of Perth and 450km south of Newman in the centre of Western Australia. The town has a population of 535 with 26.3% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ABS 2021 Census) with Martuwangka spoken as the traditional language.
Wiluna is known as the gateway to both the Gunbarrel Highway and the Canning Stock Route. At it’s peak it was home to the largest Gold Mine in Australia and today remains a large mining town.
